Not a full fledged vacation, but definitely a nice day to relax with the girls is to venture to local wineries. The very first time I drank wine I wanted to regurgitate. The tartness hit my taste buds and slapped that part of my mouth that says gross. From that point on, when offered wine, I would graciously accept, pretend to drink, and before long quickly guzzle a few glasses of water to quench my thirst.
I quickly realized the only way to find out what wine you like is by encountering wine on a more intimate level; allowing the wine to dance over your pallet. Believe it or not you can taste a plethora of wines for as little as $5. Find out where we ventured and what we tasted!
Oooh, I've always wanted to visit a winery as I am a self-proclaimed wine enthusiast. I've often said I'd start a wine collection but every time I buy a bottle to save or someone gives me a bottle, the darn cork just magically pops out and the bottle somehow tilts toward my glass...lol.
I would like to join an online wine club but the shipment of alcholic beverages is not permitted in Maryland. Haven't checked the laws for Georgia yet but I'm hopeful. I'll check out your site soon...I'm sure you've got a great story going over there :>).
What a fantastic idea! Wine tasting can be great fun, especially with a group of your favorite girlfriends. We have some great wineries here in Ohio, too. Sounds like we need to add wine tastings to our upcoming GETC events. Thanks for sharing Tamara.
