Thanks for the head's up on Asheville. Now I'm more excited than ever...think it was that comment about "ridiculous oppulence" at the Biltmore...yep, definitely want to experience that :>).
A local radio station had a contect sponsored by Coke I entered and won! 4 days expense paid in Hollywood, + $500 Cash! I had the time of my life! It was paradise to me! I used to enter contests for fun Have won a BUNCH of stuff! Including a basketball autographed by Scottie Pippen!
OMG, you've been to Asheville? You must tell me all about it when you get a chance. I had forgotten that Asheville even existed until a few years ago when HGTV built the dream home there. As it got closer to the end of the contest, they showed video clips featuring different places in Ashevelle. I was hooked from that moment on. Once I settle in in ATL, I'm driving over there to see everything for myself.
Oh, how do I love Baltimore?...Let me count the ways. LOL. Can't say enough about Baltimore. If I hadn't been born and raised here, I probably wouldn't be leaving yet--wonderful city!
Girl, I know. The beach is the very one place that you can experience inner peace oh my GOD. YES, please work on that trip/ FOr me it doesn't even matter what time of year the trip is. For about 7 years, the beach was my birthday trip(Dec. 16th) and because of the time of year, the beach is empty and so peaceful. Let me know so we can go. THat would be a perfect Divine Divas get away- no kids, no men & NO DRAMA!!!
Exactly...drive or fly... that is the question, I live in VA. I haven't flew in yearrrrrrrsssssssss, so I wouldn't mind driving even though flying is faster..
that is a sweet deal... hopefully there will be some sweet deals when I go... who knows when? :)
Germany, Austria, England, Switzerland. But Italy is on the top of my list to visit next. I went into just a bit of the northern part when I was visiting Germany but not enough to really get a flavor of it. ( actually we went to buy some cheese)
My son is a travel agent and has photos from everywhere. He's following his dreams, but is going to have a son in a few months so I have a feeling the traveling will be cut back for him. So I need to find a way to get to Australia In February to see my grandson!
Hi Tamara, welcome to GE Travel Club! I'd also love to visit Venice, Rome and Spain...and sooo many other places.
I just visited your site, deauxdames.com. It's a wonderful site! I enjoyed reading about your trip to Raleigh and the 10 Things You Need
to Live a Fabulous Life. There are so many little pearls there. Consider sharing a little of your mojo with some of our members here when you get a chance. Take care.
Welcome to the Girlfriends EnTourAge Travel Club. Italy and Spain are also quite high on my "Places to Travel" list. In fact, that is one of the reasons that the Girlfriends EnTourAge European Tour in 2010 will feature visits to Venice, Rome, and Madrid.
Quick weekend getaways with the girlfriends are a lot of fun. They give us a needed respite and recharge us to move forward. BTW, I love the concept of DeuxDames.com - especially the list of 10 DeuxDames essentials. Gotta get myself #1 & #2. LOL
